Welcome to Black Tie, a small boutique offering fresh organic eggs, hand-decorated artisan egg gift cartons, original artworks, hand-crafted items, and — on select days — small-batch, home-made natural fudge.

 

Our eggs come from loved hens and ducks who are sheltered, handled daily, and fed an organic diet that includes fresh fruits and vegetables. They live a healthy, low-stress life with access to pasture — scratching for bugs, exploring, and gathering for what we fondly call their “chicken socials.” That care is reflected in the quality, nutrition, and beauty of the eggs they produce.

At Black Tie, eggs are offered in new, clean, eco friendly regular cartons bearing the Black Tie brand, designed to be refillable by you. Unlike many roadside farm stands that rely on reused cartons, each carton here begins fresh and clearly sourced — a small detail that reflects care, cleanliness, and transparency. Many guests appreciate knowing exactly where their cartons come from.

As a distinctive feature of Black Tie, egg gift cartons are also available — a truly unique eggsperience. Each gift carton is hand-prepared and thoughtfully decorated to suit an occasion or event of your choosing. These cartons are designed not only to hold eggs, but also to accommodate creative reveals, including coloured liners, small keepsakes, jewelry, baby socks, theatre tickets, prepaid experiences, or even keys.

Their vintage-style rectangular shape — rarely seen in Canada — is both practical and beautiful. Compact and space-saving, each gift carton comfortably holds 12 jumbo hen eggs, fitting neatly into the refrigerator or on the counter.

Every hen at Ark Hive is of a different breed, making each egg an individual — varied in size, shape, and naturally occurring colors of white, cream, pink, taupe, gold, browns, blues, teals, and greens. Each egg gift carton is made to be enjoyed, refilled, and kept — at least for a while.

"Fudgeday" Fridays bring a small selection of home-made fudge, prepared in limited batches using natural ingredients and offered in a few carefully chosen flavor's. Please call ahead to see what's available.
